Swell House Studio LLC was created in the summer of 2019 and officially launched in January of 2021. Our shoppe features curated home decor and accessories, all readily available for shipping.

Most products chosen either give back to local communities, are kind to the environment or donate a portion of the proceeds to charities that help people during life challenges.

Swell House Studio was founded by Kirsty Birn, a wife and mother of two. Kirsty was raised all over the coastal adjacent parts of Orange County as a kid and resided primarily in Irvine as an adult, until moving to Lakewood in 2017. It had been Kirsty's dream to open Swell House Studio for around a decade prior to opening.

Most designs found in the studio or shoppe have undertones of beach glass and a love of the water. Kirsty has always enjoyed spending time locally at the beach, sitting in the sand, paddle boarding and watching the waves and ocean swells. 

​

The name Swell House was derived from the calming, yet powerful feel the ocean swells provide.
